Navigating Life's Curveballs: My Journey with Multiple Myeloma

Life has a way of throwing unexpected challenges our way, and in August of '23, I faced one of the toughest yet. I was diagnosed with high-risk Multiple Myeloma, a type of cancer that has no cure. It occupied 95% of my bone marrow and progressed rapidly, turning my life lessons in resilience, strength, and positivity into essential tools for survival.

Confronting cancer felt like the universe had set up a final exam, testing my beliefs and years of my personal growth process in the most intensely personal way. This journey forced me into deep introspection and demanded that I apply my teachings even more religiously to my own life. Through this, I discovered the vital importance of self-love. Despite always preaching about empowerment, the power of your words, thoughts and positive self-talk, I realized I had been neglecting to truly accept, forgive, and love myself. These were the missing and crucial keys to genuine healing and growth.

Facing my vulnerabilities and fears has been both daunting and enlightening. It revealed the resilience I carry within and taught me to trust my intuition and healing instincts, despite the bleak forecasts from doctors and the confronting reality of medical reports. As I navigate this journey, my goal isn’t merely to survive but to thrive. I work on it 24/7 physically, mentally and spiritually. I’m eager to use my experiences to inspire and empower you, whatever battles you may be facing.

In my next blog post, I’ll share more about the lessons this myeloma crash course has taught me. Until then, I invite you to become aware and listen to your inner voice so you can face your challenges with courage and optimism. We can ALL have fulfilling lives, regardless of the obstacles.
